I think I'm going to be prescribed it tomorrow and I'm absolutely terrified :/

I've heard it's effective. It was engineered to mimic clozapine's effectiveness without the blood side effects. Unfortunately the weight gain could be huge and high risk of diabetes. It changes your metabolism from preferring carbs to fat, so the sugar stays in your blood leading to diabetes. Scary stuff!

I'm also worried about being too sedated with it. 0.5mg risperidone turned me into a zombie, but then quetiapine/Seroquel didn't sedate me hardly at all and that's renowned for sedation, so everyone differs.
