I yell scream and throw stuff or take it myself as well. I try to catch it before it gets to a bad point. I feel like that's the only way for me to gain some control. Once I'm out of control its too difficult to think semi reasonable.
Distractions help when I'm starting to feel pissy. Cleaning/scrubbing something is something I also do. If it's cold out going outside without a coat and taking a few deep breaths. Music can help. AnYthing physically exerting that's not harmful helps. I have also noticed that if you regularly participate in something physical your less likely to feel intense anger. Not sure that works for everyone tough.
Im still trying to find many more ways. Anger is a big issue for me.
