I don't think you will always be where you are....it is just so hard to see beyond the walls we close ourselves into. My kids are grown, one is flying high and healthy, one is starting over and needs some help but he will be OK, and I am glad to be able to help as I can. It is an awful feeling, at your age, to be dependent, especially on parents. For my son, I am sure it is worse for him than for me (or his dad, who also helps, we are divorced) . In fact, there are things he does that help me. And you are not alone.
