It's been a hard week. Saturday my 21 year old cousin passed away, to add fuel to the fire my last day of work was Monday. They needed me on mixed shifts which I can not do because of my epilepsy and pregnancy so for the first time in my life I was fired. And as the special cake topper, my husband has just received word that due to company finance issues he is no longer employed at his job nor will he get another check. I will be getting a partial check but less than $200. Our light bill is 320, our water 120 and we need food. My husband is a realtor and mid December he will have a closing and will get $2000 but we have no money to make it until that time.
I have medicaid and my case manager asked last week if we needed help with bills or food and at the time we had money and jobs, I'm considering calling her and asking for help but I just feel like I would be taking away from other people. I'm at a desperate point now so I may be willing to ask for help but does anyone know how this works? If they can help with it all or some or what happens when the government steps in to help? I've needed help before but never asked, now I have a child and a child on the way, I can't risk loosing anything
