i am now living in central Texas. one of my hisbicus bloomed today.

the Governor has called out the National Guard due to the weather. there are suspicions that we may get some ICE........all of the churches have closed their evening services. people are raiding the shelves of the local groceries. i went to get dog food yesterday (forgetting about the impending doom) and thought people were going to hijack my cart so they could throw some more toilet tissue, water and chips in their cars........

it is now 44 degrees. i'm trying to not roll on the floor laughing. i lived in NM for too many years. temps regularly from 10 to 20 below zero. iced/snowed in for ten days at a time.

my landlord drove 7 miles to tell me to leave a faucet dripping. i guess a phone call wouldn't have held the gravity that his driving over here did. i wanted to tell him that i didn't have to leave one on, two of the outside ones already drip constantly but didn't want to take the wind out of his storm sails.

i just can't help this. Bill and i have been hysterically laughing for two days.......he is from West Va.

anyone got any storm suggestions for me? i may need them........ it may turn out to be a "three dog night"......
