I am not sure I understand all you are saying, but it sounds very positive. Like maybe it is a turning point for you. And if the contracts had not been put in place, you would have continued to drift along doing the same old same old? Is that right?
Are you going to see another pdoc, get medications from your regular doctor, or are you going to go meds-free?
I work with mental health clients at my job and there are a few who don't seem to know why they are coming to see me or say that they gain anything, and are not using me for the services I am supposed to provide to clients. Based on what you wrote, Melissa, I'm wondering if a contract might be helpful for those clients and might help them take action (either with me or elsewhere in their lives).
