It depends. We tell children to embrace their imaginations, yet when we grow we tell ourselves that it is no longer healthy and that we must cleanse ourselves of it to live in our realities. I think the more important question is, does indulging your imagination help as a healthy coping mechanism? It helps me. I have sacrificed a lot of things for age, my imagination is the one thing I try to cling to.
