It really depends on how comfortable I am with the therapist or the space. I tend to start out curled up in a ball, and slowly spread out the more comfortable I become. So, with my old T, when I first started seeing her, I would sit in the chair with my legs pulled right up to my chest, not looking at her at all. By the end of our sessions, I was sitting with my legs crossed "normally" and looking at her.
