If I were in your shoes & was as desperate as you are, first of all, I'd cool off & take my time - you can't play a fiddle all frumped up. Then I'd find some local social site - maybe CL (I don't know the names of any others) and just put out a casual offer/suggestion to take someone out for dinner - I'd like some company - in a public place - safe & secure - THAT'S ALL and MEAN IT. It's likely I'd meet someone genuinely lonely. And I'd just be happy to meet someone over a nice dinner and conversation. I'd be genuine.

I'd do that a few times, be happy for the company, and chill.

I might not score, but at least I'd have some fun & raise my chances.
