I know that I take mmj (Sativa) for Tourette's Syndrome and I have a multitude of medical problems that it can be used for. Basically though, I know a lot of people get recommendations from doctors that simply get paid for writing them and in California, your doctor can decide if any medical condition they deem treatable by mmj is a medical necessity. I use Indica for sleep and pain. (Except for headaches). Good luck.
