I would like to comment on your initial post. Perhaps these people that you meet are not really thinking what you think they are thinking......
And if they DO have a problem, it's their problem, not yours.

Other than that, congrats on the higher education thing. That is a tremendous achievement in itself. Be proud of that. My daughter is doing it and she has days when she cannot see the end. (The work can really wear you down fast, and money.....what money?) But it will only get better.

Are you able to stay put until you are done with school?

And FWIW, my 20's were the worst time in my life and I expected it to be a time of great beginnings and tons of fun.....not so much.
