Hey thickntired, sorry to hear-been there too many times! I'd say it's dysphoric mania or agitated depression same thing as a mixed state. I experience them quite often instead of euphoric mania, or what I like to call an "ecstatic state". As I'm sure you know once you've had a high, there's no middle and everything else is a low. The AAP's like Latuda, help keep bipolar individuals like me from going too high and too low...again no middle. Best of luck, the benzo's help take the edge away a little when I'm in a mixed state.
