I've only seen my new therapist for six or seven weeks, so I'm still getting to know him. I work slow.
We're working on helping me cope with a partner's recent brain injury and both the practical and emotional fallout from that. My father died within the past year, and that has stirred up a lot of childhood things. We're still circling around the edges of it, but I can tell that shame is going to be a big topic for therapy this time around.
