Melissa, if it were me, I would go by which place was best for me mentally, financially and spiritually. Friends are cool, nephews are cooler, but peace of mind is the coolest.

I have the big 4 b'day party for the kid today. I've made a few dozen cupcakes, with sparkly pink frosting topped with Hello Kitty heads that I made from gum paste. They look quite girly, and I am quite proud.
