Well, that's awfully dismissive, of your friend, wouldn't you say? Haven't, since I was 15, I'm 38 now. Had a friend, who was 32, when I was 25, she did some serious damage, severed tendons and lost feeling in her fingers.

It was tough, to realize she'd done this, to herself. Far, from childish, just displayed, to me, an immense amount of internal pain.

She wound up, back, in the hospital. Sad, to see her, in pain, at the same time, I knew she was in counseling.

It's not an age thing, it's not Childs play, either.
