A friend I know recently reminded me of this because she is bipolar and wanted to make her wishes known. Reminded me that I had done the same earlier. I actually found one n-line for my state that I could print off. It's a regular directive but also one for mental health. From what I understand, at least n this state, like it or not, they have to honor it. But I explained things to my sister who I live with and asked if she would be my legal representative if necessary and make sure my wishes were carried out. She agreed. Made me feel a lot more comfortable. I feel like I'm covered. Thanks!
