healingme4me sound advice. Any thing in excess is usually going to be bad for you. There are actually studies that show a glass of wine at dinner is actually good for you. Likewise any alcohol in modest to moderate amounts should be safe as long as it is not inter-reacting in a negative way with other meds. For example, benzos and alcohol, or trazodone and alcohol. Obviously you should not drive or use any power tools or do any thing dangerous as you will be more impaired then you think you are.

The only other precautions would be if one already has a precondition that makes taking alcohol more dangerous. Common sense should prevail. Always one should consult with their doctor before consuming alcohol with any medication to know and understand what the risks are if any.
