You know what... I think HTML won't work as part of a "signature" on this forum. I had forgotten but I think I tried making a horizontal rule using < hr > like this

<hr>

and it works in a message but didn't work in my signature (so I added the string of dashes instead).

Sorry for the mislead. I suppose only forum markup tags work in signatures and we don't have a markup for font size like we do for color.

Don't have any other suggestions. Maybe you can put in manual line breaks so it comes up as a "block" instead of one long line?
