Hi, Sinda. I have no personal experience with either of those meds, but have had friends on both. It just depends on how your body & mind react to them.

It took me a year after my dx of bipolar to get the right meds & I take a lot, but they really helped clear up my delusional thinking & depression. I have had one relapse in four years on these meds, so my Lamictal was increased & Trazodone & klonopin were added to Abilify, Concerta & Provigil. Hope they find the right meds for you sooner rather than later. It was a tough year, but I never gave up hope & had confidence in my meds provider. She is great--really listening to me & positive.--Suzy
