Dear lady,
My thoughts/prays are with you. Realization, can be painful,but yet so beautiful,releases us from anxiety,and yet holds the precious potential of re-uniting with our friends,family,loved ones,etc.
I've been blessed to have had such a chance(s) in my life to feel, and know this special feeling, it's very much like "re-newal", ?
I may not have the right words/grammar, but know how special this can be.
I've also learned, and it can hurt,that others may not be forgiving,and that is "their problem",it hurts I can tell you.
Yes, I've had one case in my life (and it was here) where a person would and never will, to my knowledge,forgive something I said,but I taught myself not to obsess,I apologized,I meant it from my heart and there is or was nothing more I can do.
Life,people,many things, are strange, stuff so often beyond our control, boggles one's mind.
Sorry for my ramblings, but do know I feel for where you are coming from, as well as where things shall venture.
