Thanks to every one that responded to my question.... for while I was 99% sure that I was going to give the dog away to a good home - a nicer person, I just wanted to make sure that I was doing the right thing... and all of you guys here have helped me to see that first intentions towards this dog was RIGHT!

I personally would keep the dog myself, but we already have 3 dogs that live in the house and hubby does not want any more pets.... I am just glad that was I able to find a good person that would take the dog, for if no one else would have taken him - he would of stayed with ME (being the animal lover that I am).

And YES, Sky - I plan on letting the new owner know of the situation of finding out who the original owners were, for the new owner goes to visit some people down the street of the old owners.... and he needs to know to NEVER take the dog with him when he visit over there.
