Yes'm I think it is ongoing, especially with new people I meet. While I used to (before accident) trust everyone to a certain extent, that level is now very small. And if I trust someone more than my "normal" low level, I become paranoid that I've trapped myself or something and they are going to get back at me. PTSD is so tough! Even though my brain knows stuff, it doesn't always change my responses.

I still isolate away from "the world" when necessary. It's very easy for those with PTSD (from any trauma) to become overwhelmed with too much input, too much sensory input etc. Retreating to a cold, dark, quiet place can be a good thing.
