Ok... so... I know a bunch of the things I wanted to be because my mom kept a book.
alright.
Age 5: a rockstar and a mom. I wanted to wear black tights and have a huge purple knitted sweater with sparkly black stars. And obviously teased hair. Go 80s!
Age 6: an artist and a scientist (can we see how my interests are already going into a spectrum?!)
Age 7: a farmer. I decided to combine the interested of outside and animals. And I didn't want to be a vet because I didn't want to hurt them. (I planned on being a sheep farmer and cutting off the wool - it's in my school yearbook!)
By about age 11 I settled on zoology. Which I stuck to until I was 14 or so when I decided that psychology was a better fit - I wanted to study behaviour but hated watching nature shows.
I stuck with that and got accepted for psychology - but took age 19 off to work and then switched in to English. I decided to go in to teaching because it was basically the same thing (human behaviour!) but only required 5 years of being a student (I hated being a student).
And now I am a teacher
