I know what you mean about having no motivation to shop or cook. We spend so much time preparing grocery lists, checking grocery store flyers, shopping, putting the groceries away. Then we have to prepare meals, cook them and then clean up. It all takes so much time! I really wish I could have one of those food generators from Star Trek. You tell the machine what you want and it makes it. When you're done eating, you put the dirty dish in the machine and it disappears!
At the very least, can't we just take a pill that contains all our nutritional and caloric needs? That would save so much time and hassle. I would pay good money for that!
I have found a way to make nutritious meal quickly. I have a programmable rice cooker that I use so much that it never gets put away in the cabinet, lol. It also does slow-cooking, steaming and a bunch of other stuff. It's a Panasonic SR-DE102. I cook chicken cutlets or strips on my George Foreman grill. Or I'll cook hamburgers. I buy lots of frozen veggies. I combine them all in a bowl and top with cheese or premade sauces from the grocery store. I especially like the Indian sauces at Whole Foods Market. So, I have my whole grain rice, my lean meat, veggies galore and a little extra. Very fast and easy. And I have only one bowl and one fork or spoon to clean up.
