I agree--the longer it continues, the harder it is to get "rescued." The long term unemployed don't have any advocates or a "voice" like even the homeless do. Not that they don't deserve it, but hello??? That's definitely a factor in contributing the homeless: Companies not hiring out of work people.
What the heck? Do they think they will just fall into some deep abyss and disappear?
This may be moot, but aren't employers "supposed" to not fire people injured on the job? Or, if it wasn't on the job, I don't know.....Of course, they don't always do the right thing as we all know.
