I have four cats... two old ones and two new ones... they are not even a year old... Recently a neighbouring cat have started attcking my kittens in my yard... and the old ones are too old to fight him off...

First incident, I found the older of the kittens and her behind was all bloody and there was this nasty gash under her tail... I figured he bit her... Took her to the vet and it was sorted...

The other cat returned... and I decided to take action. Whenever he came into the yard I would shoot him with a BB gun... those toy guns that burn the hell out of you at close range. I know this will not damage the cat... just hurt and scare him...

This morning I heard a scuffle outside... The cat was back and he attacked my youngest... she is still very small. He ripped her stomach open and r*ped her!!! One of the older cats stepped in to help and the little one ran for dear life and was not seen again...

Now I know two things... my other cat was probably r*ped too by this bully and my little cat is somewhere bleeding to death and I have to find her soon... But she is nowhere!!! After literally hours of searching I found her high up in a tree... this was after I climbed on top of the roof... (just had an operation 2 days ago) and then I had to climb the tree to get her....

Took her to the vet and he will fix her up. Now I sit with the moral dilemma... I have murder on my mind... I don't want to go to the people, becuase if I do something to their cat then, they will know it was me... but wouldn't any mother want to protect her children against such an intruder... no questions asked??? If someone wanted to attack your child, you will shoot him if you can... you won't worry that the attacker might be someone else's son... it's self defence... we must look out for our own....

Question, and I know how cruel this sounds, because I too am such an animal lover... really I am. My cats see the vet more that I see the doc and when we go away they go to stay in a hotel... a cat hotel.... They are my children and I would never want to take that away from someone else, but they can't really do anything to stop the cat, in the end....

So, do I shoot the damn cat or not??? I probably won't... but it would be justified, wouldn't it?
