I sorry that you are in so much pain and obviously are worried that the meds may not help. I'm in a similar boat because I'm just starting lexapro (along with some cocktail) and it's too soon for it to be working so I'm just hanging on.

By the way, technically speaking if the cause of mania is medication, you are not bi-polar. Doctors often say it anyway, but the DSM is very clear that it isn't really bi-polar if induced by anti-depressants.
