Folks, we haven't significantly changed the profanity filter's word list since 2001, when we first started. In the past 5 years, we've added maybe 4 or 5 additional words.

We have a long history of tolerating a certain, mild level of profanity. But the word list seriously hasn't changed that much in the 12 years this community has been online. Because nothing's significantly changed with our word list, I'm going to close this thread. Our editorial standards in the community aren't up for debate, and if you need a community where "anything goes," we're probably not the community for you. Sorry.
