omg, this just sounded like an expression that was used, by a boss, to me, one year, when I'd scheduled time same days, with family, this was when my stepdad was on his final month. It was more along the lines, of "hope you had fun on your day off."
Just because, it's a big 'shopping' day for some, doesn't mean, it's also, not big family time for others. They think they know, but they have no idea!
