I agree with the posts above. IMO you should ask a hospital what is involved in the background process and are nurses not hired for theft. You won't be working with money, finance, cash registers etc. so that's a good thing. My Dad hired for wal-mart logistics and I know they did not hire if there was a background of shoplifting. He said it was really a shame because most of these crimes were commited years ago when the applicants were teens. Also, most of the logistics team don't work with money it was just a company policy.

I had an interview to be a pharmacutical rep. In the very first round I volunteered that I had a DWI and possesion charge - they never called back. It's off my record now, but I was let go from a job at a children's shelter for the pot charge. It was humiliating.
