I love this book! It metaphorically, powerfully depicts how/why a person becomes multiple and how/why s/he returns to being one.

I liked the point that Going Through the forest, though scary, is healing, empowering.

I found it realistic that the alters argued over which was most important until faced with a shared crisis; then they banded together.

I loved the guideline "Focus on what you want instead of what you fear."

I regard this the single most important book for all my MPD clients to have. The storybook form conveys Process in a manner that penetrates Feelings.

It's effective for all ages and personalities and is especially helpful for the alters to read when they're frightened or wanting the other alters to go away.
