While I agree with the idea that there are role models around, I disagree that boys or girls, don't need both parents. As a single dad, I cannot even begin to say that my kids are just fine without their mom or a female authority figure around. I just know it's not true. Can I do it? yes. Can we bring up decent kids without the other parent? sure. But would it be even better with the other parent or opposite sex role model in their life everyday? I believe so.
