As I understand it, if you are worried about being narcassistic, you likely are not (at least not to an extreme as the parent may have been). We all have a little bit of it in us probably, but it's healthy narcism. Narcicism is one who is focused on the self - how can they gain and control the environment so the positive response is theirs. They do this through self, through 'little lies', and through their children by taking credit for achievements the other made.'
