Jan, I had a similar experience, with the major difference being I'm really just fat . A woman who lived a couple of floors below me saw me as I was coming in the back door. She was one of those people who cluelessly said whatever came to mind. As I neared her, she said, "WOW, you've gained a lot of weight!" I turned red and said, "uh, no, not that I know of." She said, "No, really, you look like you've gained 15 or 20 pounds since the last time I saw you." I said, "Mary -- I just saw you LAST WEEK." She said, "Yeah, but you look like you've really gained weight. I need to lose weight too, but not as bad as you."

I finally just walked on and she called after me, "It's OK Candy, you're still a nice person."



People are morons, what can you do.
