Sorry for the loss of your friend. It's hard to accept the reality of a tragedy.
My dad recently passed away due to congestive heart failure as well. Was your friend condition detected early and was he under any treatment? Did your friend had all the medical treatment needed? As long as he had a meaningful life then his life is worthwhile.
