I went to the mudbaths in Calistoga when I was grieving over my divorce eight years ago. I actually felt claustrophobic for the first time in my life - it was a weird sensation. But yeah, it was pretty good. Nice spa, but not what I need at this point in my life. Did me a lot of good back then too (and now that you mention it, I was about 40 pounds lighter then too).

Suzy, my heart breaks that you are having such a hard time with yourself right now. You're a terrific lady and your husband is LUCKY to have you by his side. My ex-husband was such a jerk about my weight (and this was when I weighed about 115), and my permanent husband, as I like to call him, is unbelievably sweet and supportive no matter what. Regardless, we are our own worst critics.
