I guess for me I've made the distinction between f****** and making love because to me, the first of the two implies for me that there is no emotional connection whatsoever. It's almost as if we are using each other to satisfy a physical urge and that's it. The second for me implies that there is an emotional connection and there is something deeper and more meaningful than just satisfying those physical needs. I obviously prefer the latter of the two.
