There are books written on the ?'s you posed, and the answer is rather complicated. PM me and we will discuss it. In the past when I discuss neurochemistry things gets a little heated on the forum for some reason.

To answer 1 question, MAOI refers to a class of drugs that inhibit moamine-oxidase which is an enzyme responsible for breaking down all momo-amine neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine etc.. They are VERY effective meds with ALOT of sid-effects.
