I experienced something similar when I was asked by a total stranger at a grocery store how far along I am. Not being pregnant, I replied that I was 9 months, to which she was suitably impressed about how "well" I was carrying. I chose to laugh too. But there is a little niggle somewhere deep inside, you know?
