I took Zoloft for nine months and went through hell. The drug changed me. Suddenly I became impulsive and perpetually suicidal. I also did some SI, something I never ever did prior to taking it. The suicidal thoughts, SI and impulsiveness disappeared immediately after I discontinued it.

Increasing the dose may worsen your SI and suicidal ideation. It isn't a risk I would take. I would also be careful because these side effects can be misinterpreted as personality disorder.

You should try to get a psychiatrist. Can you get a referral from your OB/GYN?
