I'm sorry you feel this way, and how it hasn't been fully explained to you>>>
There must have been indicators to have them have you be tested with the sleep study in the first place... difficulties. And that you were given a script for the cpap (even if it was "only" by the technician?) means that you met the requirements for one... I am sure that the director over the sleep study unit reviewed the tech's report and your study results (she/he may have been the one to do the final scoring in fact) and must agree.
Remember, not sleeping well contributes to MANY problems, including heart failure and obesity.
You followed through with the study, why would you do that if you didn't want to follow through with the self care it requires?
Please try and do this, a good night's sleep is very valuable. It will take a bit to get used to it, but your body will love you for it.
