Yeah I am not sure why you would consider it bad. It seems quite respectable. Grad schools, depending on what you are going into, usually take in a broader range of information than GPA and test scores. They consider letters of rec as well as personal statements and CVs so if you can present the whole picture of yourself, it all doesn't rest simply on your grades.
