After being diagnosed with mild sleep apnea through an in-lab sleep study(a PSG), finally got my CPAP equipment three days ago. Now I knew there would be a long adjustment period to get used to sleeping with a mask strapped to your face, as well as the body, generally, getting back to a somewhat normal pattern of sleeping. However, my sleep was HORRIBLE. Constantly waking and falling back asleep and bizarre dreams. After two sleepless nights, manic, with a migraine, my usual pattern.

I'm scheduled to see the neurologist, tomorrow afternoon, but I don't want to use CPAP anymore. And there is a recent abstract in PubMed from Penn State/Hershey concerning two bipolar patients who went on CPAP and became manic from using it. Any personal experiences or second hand knowledge? I need to know. Thanks, all.
