Typically a B average (3.0 GPA) is considered average, so anything above that is pretty good. Your GPA is definitely in the respectable range.

My GPA was similar to yours, and I was also disapointed about it at the time, but I actually graduated in the top 5% of my class, and got accepted into grad school.
