Hi everyone. I haven't been on here in a couple of months, but I'd like to say that some people hide their issues since they know they'll probably be judged harshly or thought of as being "crazy" by most people.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are still ignorant about mental health issues. My own family thinks that I'm "crazy" and not really worthy of respect most of the time. Even counselors and therapists don't take certain issues that seriously at times. I have told my husband and a few friends about my issues, but looking back, I think that I probably told them more than they needed to know.

They're all more distant towards me now which sucks. My husband thinks that my issues are "all in my head", but my friends seem to understand (or at least seem like they do) about what I'm going through with depression and anxiety.

So sometimes it's best to keep some issues to yourself and only tell people what they need to know. Very few people will sympathize with you. So be careful of who you share this information with.
