Hi, All,

I was hospitalized back in October and stayed in the psych ward for 10 days. While there, the pdoc suggested I begin electroconvulsive therapy. We conferenced with my regular pdoc and agreed to go ahead with 12 treatments. I finished them a couple of weeks ago and have been very cautious, but am now willing to admit; I do believe it worked! I saw my pdoc yesterday and she's so pleased with the progress I've made. I don't even have to go back to see her for 3 more weeks...which is huge!

You guys, I'm so excited.

I am curious though, has anyone else had this done? Do you go back in for "maintenance"? We have not talked about if I'll need more treatments, I'm thinking it may be a wait and see sort of thing.

I'd be curious to hear anyone else's story. For me, it was a very positive experience
