I find that during periods of depression or dysthymia, I reject all music, which is awful since it can be so healing. However my choices at times of depression run along the lines of Van Morrison's depressive songs.

When feeling up, I love Springsteen. His songs just lift me. They equate to happier times, a happier me. I miss feeling that way.
