I do exactly the same thing, when I get home from work some days all I have to look forward to is food, had a bad couple of days this week. The only way I manage to control it is to try and not have a lot of food in my kitchen that I will binge on, but sometimes that doesn't work. I've tried chewing gum, drinking a lot of water, other things to distract myself, but when I'm depressed nothing seems to work. The only reason I don't put on weight is I go to the gym a lot and walk everywhere :/.
