Yes, I've been through ECT treatment series twice and it was also extremely successful for me. Really a life-saver. I have never done maintenance and really don't think I ever would. I was finally able to have some success with meds after ECT treatments. The effect doesn't last forever, but it helped me get out of the hospital much faster than if I had continued without treatment. I was able to go home and be with my husband and kids again rather than end up in long-term hospitalization.

It wasn't a cure. I've continued to have difficulties, but it was worth the immediate effect which lasted a good year or so.
