I was behind on my mortage, and my mortgage is with the same bank where I have my account. Well, guess what happened!!!!! I went into the bank yesterday to try to work something out with them as far as my mortgage. I found that they just decided to "overdraw" my savings account for the past due amount, then put a lock on my checking so I can't take any money out and any of the checks I have already written won't be cashed, etc! They did this completly without telling me first--the only reason I found was because I had to go in there in person. They had sent me a notice giving me until 4 p.m. yesterday to contact them to work something out--I went in there about 11 a.m. and found out that they had already done that. I had tried several times to call them over the phone but I couldn't get through to anyone because they changed their system and it messed everything up! is what they did even legal? Can they do that without telling me first?
